If you have ordered through Thieme.com you must get in contact with their customer support (details of which you can find HERE); we do not have access to customer orders placed on Thieme.com, so we would not be able to help you with any order placed there.


How much is delivery?

£2.95 (£4.50 for the Republic of Ireland) for the first book, and £0.50 for each book thereafter.


I’m having trouble placing my order! Help!

Firstly:

  • Make sure you’re using an up-to-date web browser.
  • If you have any ad-blockers installed, try temporarily disabling them; they may be blocking certain scripts or cookies which are needed to complete the checkout process.
  • Try completely closing your browser and starting again.

How long does delivery take?

If the book you have ordered is in stock, delivery time will typically be 3-5 working days within the UK & Ireland. If your book is out of stock, delivery times will vary—please contact us if you have a query.

For urgent orders, please email us (or phone us on +44 (0)1423 562232) and we will be happy to confirm stock and provide a quote for a faster method of delivery.

Please note that over the Christmas period there may be significant delays in getting your order to you.


Do you deliver to outside the British Isles?

Unfortunately not. For any sales outside of the British Isles, please visit Thieme.com


I didn’t receive an email confirming my order!

PayPal can have a bit of a delay before sending a confirmation payment email. If you still haven’t received a confirmation email within 24 hours, please get in touch with us directly, we’ll check everything went through OK and confirm your order for you.


How do I check the status of my order?

I placed my order X number of days ago, and it hasn’t arrived. Where is it?

Please get in touch and we will be able to assist you. The most common cause of a delay is that it’s a brand new title and we’re waiting on the first delivery of stock.


How do I request permission to use Thieme’s material?

For licence inquiries concerning one of our books, please turn to our licensing partner, the Frankfurt Book Fair RightsLink, on www.mvb-rightslink.com 

If you can’t locate the publication you need permission from on RightsLink, or if your request is not for a license permission, please contact permissions@thieme.com . Please allow approximately 4 weeks for processing your request. Thieme receives numerous licence requests every day and we’d like to handle them all with as much conscientiousness as possible.


I need some help with my journal subscription / submitting an article to a Thieme journal!

We do not handle journals in the UK. You can find support and information for Thieme’s journals HERE.


I’m a member of a faculty, how do I receive an inspection copy of a title?

To request a free inspection copy for a possible course adoption, please get in touch.

Include the following:

  • Name
  • Title
  • Institution
  • Name of class
  • Number of students
  • Decision date
  • Course materials currently used

We review each request on a case-by-case basis.
